ShotGramPrivacy Policy
ShotGram is a social app for sharing photos, reels, stories and messages. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you remove it. It applies to the website at shotgram.app and to the ShotGram apps for Android and iOS.
What we collect
- Account information — email address, username, display name, date of birth (to confirm you meet the minimum age) and, if you choose to add one, a phone number, bio, website and social links.
- Content you create — posts, reels, stories, comments, likes, profile and cover photos, and direct messages.
- Technical information — approximate country (from your device time zone, or the dial code of a phone number you save), device and browser type, and security events such as sign-in times, used to protect accounts.
- Optional permissions — camera, microphone and photo library access are requested only when you take a photo, record a video, join a voice room or pick a file. Nothing is captured in the background.
What we do not collect
We do not collect precise GPS location, we do not sell personal data, we do not show third-party advertising, and we do not use your content to build advertising profiles.
How your data is used
- To run the service: showing your posts to the people you allow, delivering messages, and keeping your session signed in.
- To keep people safe: handling reports, blocks, suspensions and spam, and investigating abuse.
- To meet legal obligations when a valid request is received.
Where it is stored
Account data and uploaded media are stored with Supabase (database, authentication and object storage). The website and its serverless functions run on Netlify. Both act as processors for ShotGram under their own security terms. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Who can see your content
Public posts are visible to anyone using ShotGram. If you switch on a private account, only followers you approve can see your posts. Direct messages are visible to you and the people in that conversation, and to ShotGram staff only where a report or a legal obligation requires it. Photos sent as view-once are removed from storage after they are opened or expire.
Children
ShotGram is not for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country if it is higher. Accounts found to belong to under-age users are removed.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its data at any time: Settings → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, posts, stories, comments, likes, follows and messages.
Full instructions, including how to request deletion without signing in: shotgram.app/delete-my-data.html
You can also deactivate instead, which hides your profile and content until you sign in again. Backups are rotated and purged within 30 days of deletion.
Your rights
You can access and correct your information from your profile, export or request a copy, restrict processing, or object to it, by writing to support@shotgram.app. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
